With extensive experience in start-ups and major expansions, Lisa Davis has brought leadership and innovation to a variety of projects, from heading up a fast-growing retailer’s national real estate expansion program to opening a new office for an international consulting firm. Together with Lisa’s experience in commercial real estate and venture capital, she has broad experience in identifying opportunities and driving growth across many organizations.  Lisa also founded a unique and highly successful preschool and recreational program in Calgary centered on an innovative community hub model. Lisa founded Kids Come First, an independent, not-for-profit organization advocating for quality K-12 education across Alberta, including increasing access to STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts and math).  Lisa is a sought-after media commentator, and has completed over 70 media interviews during the past two years on a variety of issues in education.  Lisa believes our public education system is a key foundation of Canadian society.  It is critically important in providing access and acceptance to all students, as they develop both interests and aptitudes that will take them towards their future.   Lisa has been married to Doug for the past 22 years, and has two children.  Born and raised in Edmonton, Lisa has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta.
